Guy is a partner and head of the litigation and dispute resolution department at Priestleys. Guy has considerable experience in dispute resolution and is regularly instructed in a broad range of commercial litigation including insolvency, contentious trusts, probate, and shareholder disputes as well as family law matters.

Guy is a partner and the head of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution department at Priestleys. Guy joined Priestleys in October 2012 having previously practiced in the highly-regarded chambers of Sarah Forshaw QC and Mark Heywood QC at 5 King’s Bench Walk in London. Guy was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2001 and to the Bar of the Cayman Islands in October 2012.

An experienced advocate, he represents and advises clients in wide variety of contentious litigation, in particular, in the areas of corporate insolvency and cross border shareholder disputes. His practice encompasses a wide variety of commercial and civil litigation including contentious trust matters, personal injury, and family law.

Guy was recently accepted as a member of the IAPL – The International Alliance of Practising Lawyers. The IAPL is a network of prominent, well-established lawyers based in leading financial and legal centres around the world. Since his arrival Guy has conducted the first successful application under the Cayman Islands Bill of Rights, the first successful application under the Gender Equality Law and numerous other high-profile cases. He oversees a successful family law department which deals with the full spectrum of family law cases including high-value divorce, prenuptial agreements, custody and contact disputes.
